Locking Mechanism

RobyBox's advanced locking system, which easily opens when the silicone wristband is brought close to the cover, operates on 4 AA alkaline batteries, and these batteries can be replaced by the operator. It's important to note that non-alkaline batteries may provide a shorter lifespan, so it's advisable to use alkaline ones.

While operating on alkaline batteries, the anticipated 10,000 opening cycles under ideal conditions may appear to be sufficient for comfortably lasting through a summer season. However, it's important to consider the environmental conditions to which the batteries will be exposed in outdoor settings.

RobyBox is equipped with a power socket underneath the cover that allows the locking system to be externally powered in case the batteries run out. This hidden socket can be connected to an external battery block provided with the boxes, functioning similarly to an adapter, which enables the box to be opened, and the batteries can be easily replaced.
